Usually come here for Mother's day buffet every year with a large group. Food is usually very good. Unfortunately, yesterday's buffet was mediocre at best...and a $60 valet charge to top it off.

Great food.

Good original food and great service in a well decorated setting. Sashimi is nothing special. Spicy rolls are good. Uni pasta is excellent. Noise free!

We made a reservation for a thanksgiving dinner and unfortunately this place failed miserably to deliver a satisfactory experience. The table wasn't ready for at least 30 min and then we only had 30 min to have dinner since they failed to inform us that food would be stopped being served at 9pm. Service was good but management needs to make better decisions when it comes to service and reservations.

Great brunch. Creative dishes, and good sized portions. Great service too.
Noah Brosko
Great spot for Japanese dinner, especially if your are seeing a show.

Best sushi in the area, possibly in SF. Always fresh! The black cod dish is to die for.

One of my favorite brunch places on the city. You can have the whole place to yourselves on Sundays!

Great Christmas buffet!

Good quality Japanese food. Slightly expensive but not bad if you want to eat in a relaxing place.
Carsten Tolkmit
Really good, but not too special. Nice and attentive staff. A little too much on the expensive side.

It has a cool vibe and makes for a conversation-friendly lunch spot, but the food was overpriced for the quality, in my opinion.

Food was good, but nothing special. Waitstaff seemed to lose interest in us once they realized we weren't big spenders, despite the restaurant being relatively empty.

This restaurant is located in the hotel Nikko, food is good but like all hotel restaurants it is pricey

Entirely too expensive for what you get. Quality of the fish in the sashimi appetizer was good. I asked for the poke bowl with salmon instead of tuna and they said it had to be cooked for them to serve it...but I was served raw salmon in my sashimi appetizer....? Weird. Restaurant is located upstairs in a swanky hotel. Good atmosphere and attentive service...Just mediocre and overpriced on the food though.

We selected this restaurant for dinner after the Musical "Hello Dolly" since it was within walking distance of the theater. We were extremely pleased with the the service and the waiter's suggestions. We were looking for new cuisine to try.All 4 of us were happy with our selections. They do have 3-5 course cuisine meals which can be paired with wine, Often, we are disappointed by restaurants in hotels where are staying, so we had initially hesitated to try this. In fact, the forecast of rain put us off venturing outside, so Anzu it was! We enjoyed great service and really tasty food. Would not hesitate to eat there again.

The food wasn't mind blowing enough to justify the price. $7 for a tea bag and some hot water, really?

The service was very welcoming and observant. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Great food, unacceptably bad service

3 bills dropped for what amounted to what the 90s thought was exotic japanese cuisine. A sashimi platter with only tuna and salmon? Not even hamachi? Srsly?

Great spot for dinner, especially ig your are seeing a show at Feinstein's at the Nikko.

food was super flavorful. the service was friendly and observant. this place has a cool design.

Outstanding food and attention to detail. A place to go for a special experience.

Solid food but nothing exceptional. A bit on the pricey side for what you get but that's probably expected at a hotel restaurant. Well appointed and some decent views at the tables near the windows. Bar closes surprisingly early (in my opinion) for a hotel of this size and it being downtown. We ate a late meal around 9:00 which was less enjoyable than we'd hoped because even though Anzu is open toll 10 they began moving chairs and setting up for the next days breakfast which was very noisy and also kept our server busy doing other things.

This was a superior bar experience. Very nice staff. Comfortable seats and atmosphere.

The food is always terrific. Unfortunately it's way overpriced and the portions are tiny. I keep forgetting that when I go back after several years and then remember why it's been several years.

Great food and service, the right atmosphere for a diner with friends.

After a long day of airline travels delays, it was wonderful to be greeted with such sincere friendliness by the wait staff, and to be seated in a calm, aesthetically pleasing environment. The server was prompt, friendly and helpful, and the Kobe burger, cooked to perfection and served with a variety of condiments, was incredibly delicious. I look forward to trying the other menu options in the future.

It is a good restaurant. You can reserve via opentable for free champagne. Sushi and roll are good but expensive

Came here on a Friday I think. Staff treated us so nice. The prices are well within reason for the quality.
Tanner Hanson
Bland and boring for lunch, nice place though.

Came here on a Friday I think. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. It has a great interior.

Food was pretty good, though overpriced. The real issue is the constant up-selling, with trying to get you to spend more money - like not mentioning that water costs $10 and adding 18% tip to the price, not telling, and then asking for additional tip.

What a tasty culinary experience. This was an evening of sharing plates. We started with the rock. Wagu beef that you cook yourself over a hot stone and dip in one of three sauces. It was yummy. Then we ordered the roasted eggplant; which is prepared with a lot of finely chopped vegetables and sauteed just right. We finished with the flat iron steak which also came with a variety of well prepared vegetables; also yummy. The wine paired well with our food. The bread in San Francisco is good and this was no exception. Add in good ambiance and attentive and friendly service and we had a great experience.
Bruno Domingues
The food is okay, the ambient is outstanding, the service is good and the little pricey

Main dishes were great, not sure if do the stone appetizers again

I wish there were more places like this around town. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. It has a cool atmosphere. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
